Happy New Year from all of us at Walla Health Solutions.
January is when most clinic owners set goals. More patients. A new service line. Maybe a second location or another mobile nurse.
Those are great goals. But the ones that stick usually start somewhere less exciting: the back office.
Start with the work nobody sees
Before you plan for growth, take an honest look at how your week actually runs.
- How many vendor portals does your team log into?
- How many hours go to placing and tracking orders?
- How often do you find out you are low on something when a patient is already booked?
- Do you know what you spent on supplies and medications last year, by category?
If any of those answers made you pause, that is your starting point.
Three resolutions worth keeping
1. Get one view of your spend. You cannot lower costs you cannot see.
2. Stop counting by hand. Inventory that updates as orders arrive and services are booked saves hours every month.
3. Give your clinical team their time back. Ordering and vendor follow-up should not live on a nurse's to-do list.
A note on holiday shipping
Most carriers and many suppliers are closed on New Year's Day. If you are expecting deliveries this week, allow an extra day.
Here is to a year of fewer fire drills and more time with patients. If you want to talk through your 2026 plan, we are always happy to listen.
Supported practices. Better outcomes. Healthier communities.
