Is Your Clinic Stocked for Valentine's Week?

Planning inventory for one of the busiest weeks of the winter

Valentine's Day is no longer just about flowers and dinner reservations.

The National Retail Federation projected record Valentine's Day spending of $29.1 billion in 2026, up from $27.5 billion last year. An evening out alone was projected at $6.3 billion.

For medspas, IV lounges, and wellness clinics, that often means a busy week. Couples packages, gift cards, and pre-date appointments all show up on the calendar at once.

The supply side of a busy week

A spike in bookings is great news. It is also when inventory gaps show up fastest.

  • Popular services can use more product in one week than in the two weeks before
  • Promotions bring in new patients whose services you may not stock deeply
  • Gift cards sold now get redeemed weeks or months later

If you are relying on a manual count, you may not see a shortage coming until the day of.

A simple plan for Valentine's week

  • Look at bookings, not last month's usage. Your calendar is the best predictor of what you will need.
  • Order early. Give yourself a buffer in case a supplier backorders an item.
  • Track gift card sales. Plan inventory for redemption, not just for the sale.
  • Check short-dated product. A busy week is a great time to use it.

How Walla helps

Walla adjusts each location's stock triggers based on its usage and bookings, so reorder alerts show up before the shelf is empty. One order covers supplies and medications across your vendors.

Have a great Valentine's week, and here is to a full calendar.
